On Monday and Tuesday, August 7 and 8, before GAiN, the General Conference Office of the CIO has organized Information Technology meetings. Those working in an IT capacity for the Seventh-day Adventist Church may wish to attend. The meetings will be held in the City of Hortolandia, Sao Paulo, Brazil (35 minutes from UNASP-C2, the location of the GAiN meetings). The meetings will be hosted at IATec, South American Division's IT Development Company, which by the time of GAiN, will employ more than 300 people to meet the development needs of the South American Division.
Attendees will tour IATec and learn about the IT organization and projects of the South American Division. Other agenda items include a security seminar/discussion oriented to IT professionals, presentation and discussion about division projects, planning of future collaboration in key areas, and a tour of the new Adventist Cloud. Throughout the IT meetings, participants will have a unique opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with Seventh-day Adventist IT colleagues from all over the world.
$50.00 USD registration fee will include bus expense from hotels to IATec and lunch and dinner on Monday and Tuesday. IATec employees are welcome to join us on Monday and Tuesday without paying the registration fee, but will need to cover their own meal expense.
